Euroshop 2017
Hey all,
Ok so I have been very slack on the blog posts recently, things got a little busy. I decided I would write a blog about my upcoming trip to Dusseldorf where I am attending EuroShop 2017.
What is it? Only the biggest retail expo in the world. I fly out on March 5th and will spend two days at the event, i also may have planned a sneaky trip to Amsterdam (so except lots of Instagram shots of cool coffee houses)
Below is my plan for the two days at the show, this will give you idea of the content I will share when I return.
Day 1 – March 5TH
- Fly out of Dublin on the 7am flight.
- Arrive at the show – 9.30am.
- Get a coffee & try keep cool and collected once the visual stimulation kicks in.
- Visit the signage & communication area – See trends in digital signage.
- Attend Forum – cross- & up-sellings through digitisation.
- Visit the visual merchandising area main focus is on – mix of digital & design.
- Attend a talk on – The Future of VM for retail.
- Visit Hansbooth – See latest style in mannequins.
- Visit the designer village – Future trends for retail concepts.
- Meet team from store design for dinner (and wine)
Day 2 – March 6th
- Attend morning talk – humanising retail: designing purposeful stores for people, not products.
- Visit the DZD Stand – Full on prop heaven.
- Link in with the UK retail times magazine – Feature of Visual Sense.
- Insta share the talk on Retail trends for 2017 / 2018.
- Insta share the talk on Customer shopping trends
- Networking area.
- Spend time in new lighting area.
4PM – Get the express train to Amsterdam. (YAY)
